Privacy statement

Last updated: 12 September 2026

Stichting Miami Nice organises the Miami Nice student festival. This privacy statement explains which personal data we process, why we do so, how long we keep it and what your rights are.

Who we are

Stichting Miami Nice is responsible for processing the personal data described in this statement.

Stichting Miami Nice
Prins Hendrikstraat 10, 5611 HK Eindhoven
Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 74727273
VAT number NL860006232B01
Email: info@miaminice.nl

Contact form and email

When you send us a message through the contact form or by email, we process your name, your email address and the content of your message. If you fill them in, we also process your phone number and company name.

We only use these details to answer your question, based on our legitimate interest in being able to reply. If your question is about a partnership, the legal basis is preparing an agreement. Form messages pass through Formspree and then arrive in our mailbox at Hostinger. We keep messages for up to 12 months after your question has been handled.

Tickets

We sell tickets through Weeztix. When you order, Weeztix asks for your name, email address and payment details, as well as your place of residence, gender and age.

We use your details to process your order, deliver your ticket and keep you informed about the festival, for example if something changes. The legal basis is performing the agreement. We only use place of residence, gender and age as totals, to understand who visits our festival, based on our legitimate interest.

If you tick the box to stay informed when you order, we send you news about future editions based on your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.

We keep your order details, including your name, email address, place of residence, gender and age, for 7 years. Part of this data is subject to a legal retention obligation for our financial records. Weeztix also processes your data under its own privacy statement, which you can read when you order.

Entry checks

At the entrance we check your ID and student card, because Miami Nice is only open to students aged 18 and over. We only look at these documents and do not copy or record them.

Entry bans

If you break our house rules, we can ban you from future editions. We then note your name, the date and the reason for the ban, so we can check at the entrance whether someone with a ban tries to get in. We do this based on our legitimate interest in keeping the festival safe.

Only the organisation and the security staff at the entrance can see this list. We do not share it with other organisations. We keep your details for as long as the ban applies, and no longer than 2 years.

Photos and videos

Our photographers and videographers take photos and videos during Miami Nice, and you may be recognisable in them. We use them on our website and social media, in the aftermovie and in presentations for partners, based on our legitimate interest in showing and promoting the festival.

If you don't want to be recognisable in a shot, tell the photographer. If you appear in a photo or video you would rather not see online, email info@miaminice.nl. We will remove it from our website and social media as soon as possible. Images that have already been printed or edited into an aftermovie cannot always be changed. We keep photos and videos in our archive for as long as they are relevant to the festival.

Partners and sponsors

If we work with your company or contact you about a partnership, we process business contact details such as your name, job title, email address and phone number, based on our legitimate interest in finding partners and carrying out agreements. We keep these details for up to 2 years after our last contact, or longer if the law requires it for our records.

Website visits and cookies

This website does not use cookies for statistics, advertising or tracking visitors. Fonts, photos and videos are loaded from our own server.

The ticket shop on the homepage is loaded from Weeztix. Queue-it, the virtual waiting room Weeztix uses, sets functional cookies that keep the ticket shop available when it is busy. These cookies expire within a day and are needed for the ticket shop to work, so no consent is required.

Like every website, our hosting provider Hostinger records technical data such as your IP address and the time of your visit to keep the website secure and available.

Who we share data with

We never sell your data. We only share it with service providers we need for the festival and this website:

  • Weeztix, for ticket sales
  • Formspree, for the contact form
  • Hostinger, for hosting this website
  • Hostinger, for our email

We have agreements with these parties about the security and confidentiality of your data. If the law requires it, we may share data with, for example, the police.

Data outside the European Union

Formspree is based in the United States, so what you send through the contact form is processed there. For this transfer we rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, so your data keeps the same level of protection.

Security

We protect your data with appropriate measures, such as a secure connection (HTTPS) and access to data only for organisation members who need it.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data. You can also ask us to restrict processing, object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and have your data transferred. If you gave consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Send your request to info@miaminice.nl. We respond within one month. If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes

We may update this privacy statement, for example when we start using a new service. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
